In 1976 the City of Langley constructed 4 large reservoirs. The shear size of the water containment structures puts enormous pressure on the concrete infrastructure. Krystol was used for only one of the four tanks as three of the competitor’s product systems were used on the remaining tanks.
The Krystol T1 & T2 Waterproofing System was applied to one of the tanks. In 1981, review of the performance of each of the four structures determined that the tank treated with Krystol was the only one that was watertight. Each of the other tanks required repair. In 2000, a review confirmed that the Krystol treated tank was still watertight and performing as specified.
Krystol T1 is a surface applied crystalline slurry treatment that transforms new or existing concrete into a permanent waterproofing barrier.
