Concrete International Magazine – April, 2003
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) International Spring 2003 Vancouver Convention was a complete success. “I am proud to have played such an important part in organizing and coordinating the activities.” Says Kari Yuers, Kryton’s President and CEO. “As Co-Chair of the Convention Committee, I am happy to say that we had close to 1500 attendees. ACI International and our ACI BC Chapter are very pleased with the outcome.”. Next year, ACI International is celebrating 100 year’s as the world’s largest technical association on concrete.
Yuers said almost 1,500 delegates, mainly engineers and contractors from throughout North America and other countries, gathered for five days of meetings, exhibits and related events. The event received coverage on local television. “It was nice to see interest from the local media.” says Yuers. “It shows that the topic of concrete is important to the entire community.”
On another successful note, as recognized experts in the concrete industry around the world, Kryton is often asked to submit articles to major trade magazines. Kari Yuers, Kryton’s President and CEO as well as the current Co-Chair of the ACI (American Concrete Institute) Spring Convention was recently asked to write about concrete in Vancouver, home to Kryton’s Technical Headquarters.
