Vancouver based Kryton international is aiming for continued success for its key concrete protection product that the company has adapted for the hotter temperatures of the Middle Fast as its expansion in the region continues. The product, known as Krystal Membrane—Extended Set (KIM-ES) is the regional adaption of KIM, a crystalline admixture that makes a whole concrete structure waterproof.
When combined with water, KIM’s proprietary chemicals react to form millions of needle-like crystals. ‘These crystals grow and fill the capillary pores and micro cracks in the concrete, blocking the flow of water. ‘The company has already seen its product used at the Atlantis Hotel and Dubai Dry Ducks. Just two of what it hopes is a number of major projects in the emirate and the region. It is backing up its intentions with new facilities as well.
“Kryton has been strategically targeting the Middle East concreting industry for the past five years” says Kryton CEO Kari Yuers. “We have modified our key products to adapt to hotter climates, opened our JAFZA warehouse earlier this year, and have hired additional staff to represent Kryton at the frontlines.
“The Big 5 brings together an impressive caliber of builders and buyers, and is without a doubt 21 critical component of our Middle East strategy says Yuers.
Kryton provides concrete waterproofing solutions in over 48 countries around the globe. `The entire Gulf region is in the company`s sights. Including the biggest market, Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year Kryton International installed Ahdulrahman Jhara to head up its office in the kingdom.
