Concrete is one of the world’s oldest and most durable building materials; and water is its most dangerous aggressor. The maze of capillaries and micro-cracks within the concrete can create a sponge-like effect, and draw water into the structure. This water will attack reinforcing steel, weaken the structure and cause other serious problems such as leaking. Without adequate waterproofing, both the structural integrity and profits of a structure are at risk.
