Kryton Buildmat Co. Pvt. Ltd. celebrated its 20th year of concrete waterproofing innovation on Friday October 9th, 2015 with a grand celebration at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, India. In 1995, through the partnership of Ron Yuers and Umesh Kakkar, Kryton Buildmat was formed with the vision to build a better India.
“We had a vision to work together, with partners and clients to build a more durable, modern and resilient India – the India of the 21st century,” Mr. Kakkar, the Managing Director of Kryton Buildmat says of the partnership.
Mr. Yuers founded Kryton International Inc. in 1973 and was exploring markets that would benefit from the use of the world’s most durable concrete waterproofing technology. He believed India was an untapped market that could benefit from Kryton’s Krystol technology.
“We were always active in pursuing new markets around the world,” Yuers says. “India appeared as if it would be the future country of the world and we wanted to be there along the way.”
Through the partnership of Mr. Kakkar and Mr. Yuers, Kryton Buildmat was born. It has now matured into a two decade old company that has seen manufacturing and sales increase significantly every year. As the only local manufacturer of crystalline technology, India can truly call Kryton Buildmat its own. Kryton President & CEO, Kari Yuers believes that the vision to bring innovation to India has remained steadfast throughout the company over the last 20 years.
“Having a partner like Mr. Kakkar who at the core believes that concrete is one of the greatest materials around, has been fundamental to Kryton Buildmat’s success,” Kari says. “It’s key to have the passion around concrete innovation and the use of building materials to increase durability and sustainability in today’s age.”
Kryton Buildmat is currently experiencing its most successful year of sales over the past 20-years and believes strongly that it will continue well into the future. With the exponential growth of the Indian market, along with its forecasts to become the largest one in the world by 2020, Kryton Buildmat and Kari expect the success to continue well into the future.
“This is an exciting time where we can show value to builders, owners and cities to help construct sustainable structures for the future,” Kari says.
Kryton Buildmat’s fingertips are already implanted on the future of India with its part in constructing the Delhi Metro, which is going to be the 3rd largest of its kind in the world at the time of completion in 2021.
