Before Kryton distributors, Al-Handsya Construction & Real-Estate came into the Egyptian market; concrete waterproofing and repair materials were stuck in the Stone Age. Kryton’s Krystol waterproofing products plugged that crack in the market and provided projects like the KIMA Aswan Chemical Factory a better alternative.
Consulting engineer, Dr. Abdel Aziz Mamdouh specified Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) admixture for the concrete rehabilitation process. KIM can not only serve in mildly acidic environments but also increase the durability of the concrete long-term to avoid costly repairs. Further, Krystol T1 was used from outside the water tanks and cooling towers because it can waterproof from the negative side without risking quality workmanship or the need to shut down the water containment structure. Finally, Krystol Mortar Admixture (KMA) was used for all the plastering work, which would also be subject to chemical attack. Not only are the products working as specified, but because the factory remained open during the rehabilitation, money and time was saved.
