Vancouver, B.C. – Kryton International hosted The Crystalline Technology Concrete Waterproofing Seminar in Chandigarh, India on December 3, 2007.
Focused on educating Architects, Engineers, General Contractors and the variety of sub-trades that are involved with concrete waterproofing, speaker Kevin Davis, based out of Kryton’s head office in Vancouver, BC Canada, provided an introduction to and background on crystalline technology, discussed general waterproofing concerns that pertain specifically to concrete and reviewed construction techniques dealing with this challenging issue.
“Some of the main challenges that are required to be grasped by the trades’ people in a developing market such as India is that the integrity and quality of the concrete is paramount to long term durability of the structures they are building” said Davis.
Kryton’s wholly owned India subsidiary Kryton Buildmat Pty Ltd. has opened a Regional Sales Office in Chandigarh to support the growing demands of the market in the Punjab region.
Akhil Kakkar, General Manager, for Kryton Buildmat stated “the Chandigarh area as a whole is seeing solid growth. As such we felt it important to establish a regional base to support existing projects and develop new ones.”
Prominent representatives from the Chandigarh construction and development market that were in attendance included Mr Sanjay Mathu, General Manager of Parsvanath Developers Ltd., Mr. Amit Batra of Taneja Developers & Infrastructure Limited, Mr. Sanjeev Argal – Asst. Vice President – Reliance Retail Ltd.
and Dr. M. S. Ghuman – Retired Professor (Punjab Engineering College) and reknowned Geotech Consultant.
The seminar was also attended by the honourable Mr. Gurbans Sobti Trade Commissioner,
The Consulate General of Canada for Chandigarh.
Active projects in the Chandigarh region include the Parsvanath Royale, Uppal’s Marble Arch and
Jaipurias Sunrise Greens to name but a few.
The evening was concluded with a question and answer session followed by a banquet for all in attendance,
