Kryton International Inc.’s President & CEO, Kari Yuers, FACI will be moderating a dedicated session on the New Developments in Chemical Admixtures: An ACI 212 Update at the American Concrete Institute’s (ACI) Fall Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
ACI Committee 212, Chemical Admixtures published a new state-of-the-art document, ACI 212.3R 16. This session will be discussing the overall revisions to the document, including the new content. The new document has taken another giant leap forward and has included four new chapters. These chapters include Sustainability, Workability-Retaining Admixtures, Rheology and Viscosity-Modifying Admixtures, and Admixtures for Pervious Concrete.
“This is ACI 212’s first update since last published in2010 and represented the global benchmark in the use of concrete admixtures,” Yuers says of the session sponsored by the ACI Committee 212. “This most recent update includes new innovations from the industry and is critical to our collective understanding of how these materials are used in concrete and can benefit the industry on a global basis.”
The ACI is a world-wide leading authority and resource for promoting the use of concrete in the best possible manner. The revisions of ACI 212.3R is another demonstration in establishing best practices with concrete as a critical component in building a better future.
