This was the case for the Cadbury Foods Factory roof extension in Egypt. A project like this needed to be done correctly the first time to save money, while also saving time on the project timeline with efficient installation. Cadbury Egypt needed an innovative concrete waterproofing solution for the extension that fit these concerns.

In the end, Kryton’s superior service and ability to save the project time and labor costs made them the premium choice for this project.
Three Krystol products were used for the roof extension, including 550 m2 (5,920 ft2) of Krystol T1 used to ensure the concrete roof slab became the waterproof barrier, thwarting the ingress of moisture. Further, Krystol Mortar Admixture (KMA) was used with the mortar for plastering the wall of the parapet and treating the steel plates and air-conditioning chillers area. Finally, Krystol Internal Membrane (KIM) was added to the concrete at the slope of the roof. As of writing, the Cadbury roof extension project is working as specified.
