The Horka Dam built in 1985 had water leakage problems in the maintenance tunnels well below grade. The maintenance tunnels required waterproofing for 1550 cubic meters (55,000 cubic feet) of existing concrete.
Krystol T1 & T2 Waterproofing System were used on existing below grade concrete. Since the Krystol application in 1997 no leaks or wet spots have been observed.
Krystol T1 is a surface applied crystalline slurry treatment that transforms new or existing concrete into a permanent waterproofing barrier.
